Cleaning Ceramic Tile
Cleaning ceramic tile on a regular basis is paramount to maintaining that new look and protecting the tiles. I clean my tiles once a week. Dust, general dirt and other everyday substances can build up on tiles and can scratch them if you don't remove them before cleaning. When cleaning wall tiles run the surface with a duster before you wet clean to remove dirt. Brush floors with a soft broom. You shouldn't hoover ceramic tile floors as this can scratch the tile. A regular damp mop with warm water is very essential for cleaning ceramic floors. Sometimes, you can also use a small amount of mild detergent along with water, to mop the floor tiles. But remember to rinse the floor again with fresh water to remove any residue left. This will help you avoid the formation of the thin layer on the surface, usually caused by the use of any kind of cleaner or detergent. For wall tiles use a damp cloth and rub over the tiles with mild detergent and water. Always choose a mild detergent. Do not use any acidic, alkaline, bleach and ammonia based products on ceramic tile.
