Odor Neutralizer

An odor neutralizer is designed not to cover up smell but to neutralize the particles that create the smell. Air freshners will cover smell for a short time but neutralizers are designed to work for longer.

Of course to get rid of any smell the best solution is to find the cause and deal with it. For help doing this check out my removing smell page. Netralizers can be very effective in those areas where no matter what you do the smell seems to linger.

There are several types of neutralizers available:

Sprays

Sprays are powerful and effective for a short period of time. You may want to use a spray if you have guests visiting and need a burst of powerful smell that will neutralize bad odors for a few hours.

Gels

Gels are very effective as they absorb bad smells and give off a nice odor. They last for a month or so and look attractive if placed in a decorative bowl. You can even get gels in different colors to compliment your decor.

Liquid

Liquid neutralizers are for use in sinks and toilets and can help nasty smells from drains escaping. These are effective and work immediately.
