Tidy House
A tidy house is different from a cleanly house. You house can be clean without being tidy and your house can be tidy without being clean. Of course you need both to have the perfect home. Tidiness is about getting rid of clutter and making sure everything is in its place. You house can be clean; swept, mopped, dusted etc. but still be untidy with items not put away. There are several places that items seem to accumulate in most homes. Take a look at this checklist: - Stairs - books, shoes on each step
- On top of cupboards - Kitchen cupboards often get kitchen items stuffed on top of them.
- Window sills - Window sills are an easy place to put items when they are not in use but cluttered window sills look messy.
- Table - Dining and side tables
- Desks - On display desks often get cluttered with mail
- Book Shelves - Book shelves look very untidy if they house too many ornaments and nicknacs
A good clear out and getting rid of the items you don't need once a month helps a lot with de-cluttering and keeping your house tidy. Organisation and good storage is also very important. Take a look at my storage solutions page for help with this. Click
